Spanning the globe on a Wednesday morning. ...

While much speculation continues to center on Missouri, SEC commissioner Mike Slive offers no insight on a possible 14th team for the league during a teleconference on Tuesday that officially welcomed Texas A&M into the fold.

From Fayetteville, Arkansas is struggling to find its offensive identity after being dominated by Alabama.

From Athens, Georgia coach Mark Richt offers some pointers to his fans on how to amp up the crowd noise for Saturday when Mississippi State visits.

From Gainesville, first-year Florida coach Will Muschamp shies away from comparisons to Alabama coach Nick Saban, who helped launch his career. The Gators and Tide play this week.

From Columbia, there always seems to be something going on between Steve Spurrier and his quarterback, Stephen Garcia. Right now Spurrier is trying to get Garcia back on track with his confidence.

Bornarebel, I don't think that was the first time. I don't know why these guys choose not to represent Ole Miss when given the opportunity. Judging by the reactions when several of them were on campus in the spring, I don't think there are hard feelings anywhere. Wallace was one I spoke to, and he was as happy and smiling as I remember him being as a player.

I know that I am a few days late on this but did anyone else notice Sunday night that at the beginning of the Steelers game when they name the starters, Mike Wallace named his high school? All of the other players named the college that they attended except Mike Wallace. He did not mention Ole Miss or Mississippi. PA, do you know if this is the first time for him to do that? I was pretty shocked. Maybe he just wanted to get his high school's name on the air but it sure leads you to believe that he doesn't want to be associated with Ole Miss.
