What’s your daily commute?
From Carlie Kollath Wells ...
I’m working on a story about your daily commute. The mean travel time if you live in Mississippi is 23.9 minutes, according to the U.S. Census.
How long does it take you to get to work?
Some answer so far from Twitter:
@Frank_E_V: I’m at 90 seconds or so, depending on the one light I must obey.
@mhmiller: according on if I am picking up co-workers or not – if straight it’s 17 miles, 25 mins if not its 53 miles, about an 1-1:15. I got professors that ride over from Oxford each day.
@jessgray12: 2 minutes :)
@jimtgood: Now #dailycommute is 12 minutes. It WAS 1:40 when I worked in NYC IF everything went right, which was rare!

Gingerbread village on display at Ole Miss
From Ole Miss ...
OXFORD, Miss. – In what is becoming an Oxford holiday tradition, the Gingerbread House Village will be on display Dec. 5-20 in the studio theatre of the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
“This is our third year displaying the village, and the confectionary creations keep getting bigger and better each holiday season,” said Kate Meacham, assistant director of marketing for the Ford Center.
