This week's cover story on Tommy Carr's model of the Tupelo Lass gave me an opportunity to look back at a Neighbors story I wrote 10 years ago on Jake Epting and the B-24 bomber that bore his hometown's name. The Tupelo Lass flew numerous missions over Europe in World War II.

For a history lesson on Epting and his "Lass," click the link for a revised version of the 1999 story. http://nems360.com/bookmark/3514611

To see Carr's model of the Tupelo Lass, check out the slideshow featuring photos by Daily Journal photographer Thomas Wells.

Tommy (and any other interested parties)would be most welcome to join The IPMS Mississippi Modelers at the Lee County Library every 2and Saturday from 1-3. Our group is very diverse in the subjects built and our most recent works are displayed at the Library in a display case. We LOVE WW2 aircraft!

Also cars, figures, armor, etc. He have a great time just visiting with other builders and learn from each other. For more info email me at:
