This was the scene outside Saltillo High School this morning when I dropped off my daughter. Rainy, messy, kids making a mad dash to get inside. I returned home to do some Neighbors work and to post the photo on the blog. Wish I could sleep in, but it's hard to do that when you've been awake since 2:30 a.m. Last night, as the front was starting to pass through the area, my wife and I walked a block to a neighborhood meeting. Walking back home into the wind about 8 p.m. wasn't easy. Maybe the sun will peek through today, but I believe more of the wet stuff is on the way.

When you get a chance, check out this week's Lee County Neighbors section for my story on Sam Atkins and his perfect attendance at Sunday School. Hope you have a good day.

Bobby,

I enjoyed that LCN story about Sam Atkins. I met him back in the summer when I did my feature on Harrisburg's 75th anniversary. What a guy, eh? He and the other good folks out at Harrisburg are always fun to cover. Good people. Galen
