PONTOTOC – Itawamba Community College soccer coach Mike Sullivan announced defender Piercen Burchfield and keeper Emily Munn of Pontotoc High School as his the first two members of his 2012 signing class on Thursday.

“Piercen has been a very good player for Pontotoc for quite a while,” Sullivan said of Burchfield, who was recently selected to play in the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) All-Star game. “His brother (Collin) played for us so we know what he is capable of on this level.”

“Emily has been a great keeper for many years,” Sullivan said. “We are losing a really good keeper so we are needing to find some good replacements and we are really excited about the potential that Emily gives us in net these next few seasons.”
