NEW ALBANY - Gladys Dykes, 90, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at her residence. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Beasley Funeral Home.

Fay Sprayberry

ASHLAND - Fay Sprayberry, 79, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Ashland Health and Rehab in Ashland. She was born Jan. 6, 1932, to Henry J. Taylor and Mattie Rogers. She was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church and a store manager.

Services are at 2 p.m. today at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Faron Ash officiating. Internment will be at Bluff Springs in Ashland.

She is survived by two sons, Leslie Sprayberry and David Sprayberry, both of Ashland; two daughters, Betty Fay Sike of Jasper, Ala., and Patricia Williams of Ashland; brother, Billy Taylor of Ashland; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lavoy Sprayberry; and granddaughter, Angela Sprayberry.

CORINTH - Essie Pace died Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Clearwater, Fla. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth.

Angelia Nichols

BOONEVILLE - Angelia Denise Nichols died Friday, April 20, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 10, 1977, to Gloria and Robert Nichols. She was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Wayne Miles. She was a 1995 graduate of Booneville High School and attended Foster's Cosmetology School in Ripley.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church. Internment is at Mt. Olive in Baldwyn. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her daughters, Tamica Nichols and Malaysia Angelic Denise Nichols of Booneville; her parents, Robert and Gloria Nichols of Booneville; 2 grandchildren, Zyan and LaKaiya Nichols of Booneville; and a special friend Dewaye Brown.

Jewell Savage

GOLDEN - Effie Jewell Pounders Savage, 93, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1919, to Barney B. and Eula Mae Mauldin Pounders. She was a homemaker and a member of Golden Central Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Roger Wood officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens.

Survivors include four children, Harvey B. Hamm (Ruth) of Dorsey, Rex Hamm (Rita) of Boaz, Ala., Richard Savage (Joan) of Aurora, Colo., and Roy Savage (Mary) of Golden; 16 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Elah Hellums of Golden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Savage; her parents; two brothers, Vulen Pounders and Ewel Pounders; and one sister, Hazel Crane.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont and until service time Wednesday.

Charles Bladyes

PICKWICK, Tenn. - Charles Bladyes died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at his residence at Pickwick, Tenn. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth. Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Willie Fondren

OXFORD - Willie Ingram Fondren, 92, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born Oct. 30, 1919, to Walter and Rose Ingram. She was a member of Batesville First Baptist Church.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Waller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Fondren and Dr. Tommy Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Fondren Edlin (Dwain) of Paris and Carole Fondren Bryan (Harry) of Batesville; two sons, James A. "Jimmy" Fondren Jr. (Linda) of Peoria, Ill., and Michael J. "Mike" Fondren (Edna) of Mathiston; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James A Fondren; her grandson, Jesse Fondren; her parents; five sisters; and a brother.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time at Waller Funeral Home.
