I'm here covering the Alan Jackson show tonight at the BancorpSouth Arena. We're low on space for Friday's paper, so the story has been cut, but I thought I'd come and blog about it a little.

Jimmy Wayne had the crowd going – especially when his fiddle player played his fiddle behind his head. That fiddle player definitely won a battle against the devil, somewhere down the line.

Jimmy Wayne performed songs like "I Will," "After You," "Kerosene Kid" and "I Love You This Much."

Alan Jackson should be taking the stage in about 10 minutes... I'll blog more later!

It's about 9:10 p.m. and Alan Jackson has been on stage nearly 30 minutes.

The entire audience got on their feet when he walked out on stage, sporting a black shirt and his trademark white hat. There are two big screens on the side of the stage, one large one in the middle of the stage and two slim ones on either side of it. Trust me, no matter where you are in the Arena, you're getting a good view.

He got things started with "Gone Country," and followed it with hits like "I Don't Even Know Your Name," "Livin' on Love" and "Small Town Southern Man." He just finished one of my favorites, "Like Red on a Rose."

Jackson also thrilled fans when he threw out a handful of guitar picks.

Right now he's playing "Chattahoochee," and the crowd's all singing along.

As Jackson performed "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," (right before "Chattahoochee") everybody in the Arena was on their feet, dancing in the aisles, singing along – pretty fun.
