STARKVILLE — Gov. Phil Bryant will speak at fall commencement on Dec. 15 at Mississippi State University.

Bryant will speak to graduates at 10 a.m. at Humphrey Coliseum on the MSU campus in Starkville.

Nearly 1,400 students are scheduled to receive degrees. MSU officials say those choosing to participate in the ceremony will include a number from the summer term, for which there is no separate graduation event.

Bryant was sworn into office as governor in January after previously serving as lieutenant governor, state auditor and a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives.
