Yesterday on Facebook, April Perea asked, "Any locals interested in forming a roller derby team?"

And she was "mobbed with replies."

I'd say that's a yes.

Anybody who's interested in being a roller derby girl can meet up with Perea and pals tonight at Skate Zone at 6:30 p.m.

There's no committment – just getting together to see if and how well you can skate, and throwing around ideas. Perea said she hasn't skated in about 10 years, so don't worry if you think you'll be wobbly.
