* Grandma Lee brings in the laughs at Vanelli's this weekend.

* Something Real Simple and The Number 2 have gigs at Boondocks Grill in Tupelo Friday and Saturday, respectively.

* Nova Roma and The Upside will perform at Starbucks in Tupelo Sunday.

* The author on this week's Thacker Mountain Radio is Tim Gautreaux, and music will be by The Deep Vibration and Joel Hamilton.

* The 17th Floor will perform at Rick's in Starkville Thursday.

* Modest Mouse has a sold-out show at The Lyric Oxford Friday. Lord T & Eloise will perform there Thursday.
