Northeast Mississippi Community College sophomores Craig Bullock of Blue Springs and Amber Williamson of Myrtle were selected to participate in the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship Program (MRPSP). Bullock and Williamson were selected from a candidate pool of sophomore college students from across the state for inclusion into the statewide program. Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship Program provides a means for rural Mississippi students to earn a seat in medical school, earn Medical CollegeAdmissions Test (MCAT) preparation valued at $2,000, earn a $120,000 medical school scholarship in return for four years of service and learn the art ofhealing from practicing rural physicians. Northeast president Dr. Johnny L.Allen, Ed.D. (left), Williamson, Bullock and Northeast physics instructor George Nock were on hand at the collegeís Phi Theta Kappa chapter of the Iota Zeta honor societyís annual Honors Day Program were Bullock and Williamson learned about their inclusion into the program.
