Former Mississippi State University forward Arnett Moultrie will miss the NBA’s summer league for rookies and second-year players while recovering from an ankle sprain.
The Miami Heat selected Moultrie with the No. 27 pick in the NBA draft and then traded him to the Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers announced on Tuesday that the 6-foot-11 Moultrie suffered the left ankle injury last month during a predraft workout.
The team said Moultrie will attend the summer games in Orlando and will work with the team’s medical and training staff to be ready for the start of the preseason.
