MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The all-star football and basketball games between Alabama and Mississippi are moving to Montgomery.
Alabama high school officials said Thursday the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Classic will be played Saturday, Dec. 10 at Cramton Bowl, which is undergoing a $12 million renovation.
Mobile had hosted the game since its inception in 1988.
Alabama High School Athletic Association executive director Steve Savarese says the city didn’t bid to keep the game.
The boys and girls basketball games will move from Pelham to Alabama State University’s Dunn-Oliver Acadome starting in March 2012 after the contract with that city ran out
Montgomery has two-year deals for both games.
