Alabama's Green available for Mississippi State game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama forward JaMychal Green will be available against Mississippi State after serving a four-game suspension.

Crimson Tide coach Anthony Grant said Friday that Green will most likely play in Saturday’s game. He said he’d make the final decision after practice.

Green is the Tide’s leading scorer and rebounding, averaging 14.1 points and 7.2 rebounds. He was suspended for violating unspecified team rules before the LSU game — along with two teammates.

Trevor Releford and Andrew Steele missed only one game. A third player, Tony Mitchell, is suspended for the rest of the season.

Alabama (18-9, 7-6 Southeastern Conference ) lost the first two without Green but has rebounded with back-to-back victories over Tennessee and at Arkansas.

Grant says guard Trevor Lacey is doubtful for Saturday’s game with a sprained ankle.
