Area’s soccer teams to play their quarterfinals games today

Due to the weekend’s inclement weather, eight MHSAA state quarterfinals soccer games involving area teams had been rescheduled for today.
All eight games were originally set for Saturday.
In Class 4A, the Amory girls team will host Newton County at 5:30 p.m., while the Amory boys will play host to West Lauderdale at 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the New Albany boys will entertain Center Hill at the New Albany Sportsplex at 6 p.m.
A Class 4A girls quarterfinals match involving two area teams, Lafayette and Pontotoc, will be played at 6 p.m. in Pontotoc.
The Oxford girls will be at home versus Saltillo at 5:30 tonight, with the Chargers boys team traveling to play Callaway at 4 p.m.
The Tupelo Lady Wave will also be on the road with a 5 p.m. tilt at Vicksburg.
The lone quarterfinals match in Class 1A/2A/3A involving two Northeast Mississippi teams is the Corinth-MSMS boys contest, which had been rescheduled for today at 5 p.m. in Corinth.
