Arizona State vacates 2007 wins vs. Ole Miss in baseball

Arizona State’s baseball team will vacate all of its wins from 2007 and is banned from the postseason in 2011 under NCAA sanctions for numerous violations.
Included in the Sun Devils’ 44 victories were two against Ole Miss in the Tempe, Ariz., Super Regional.
Arizona State finally got to Will Kline in the ninth inning, rallying for three runs to win 4-3 in Game 1.
Kline, the Tupelo native, held the Sun Devils scoreless until giving up a run in the eighth. Arizona State won the decisive Game 2 7-1 the following day.
The NCAA ruled former head coach Pat Murphy and several former assistants made more than 500 impermissible recruiting calls and failed to promote an atmosphere for compliance.
