Bailey out, Sidney in? Blogger's MSU report gets quickly disputed

Mississippi State officials were quick to reject an Internet report that junior Elgin Bailey will be kicked off the men’s basketball team after his Thursday fight with teammate Renardo Sidney.
Both players were suspended indefinitely and sent home from Honolulu after the incident, which took place in the stands before a Diamond Head Classic game and was caught on camera by ESPN.
Susan Shan, a sports blogger, reported on Saturday that MSU will kick Bailey off the team, then reinstate Sidney “in a few weeks.”
Both Mississippi State athletics director Scott Stricklin and team spokesman Gregg Ellis disputed Shan’s report.
Head coach Rick Stansbury told reporters on Saturday that the status of both Bailey and Sidney would be evaluated after the team returned to campus.
Mississippi plays St. Mary’s (Calif.) in Las Vegas on Wednesday night to wrap up its 12-day road swing. The Bulldogs (8-5) are 1-3 on this road trip.
