Baseball Bulldogs begin preseason drills today

By NEMS Daily Journal

Rain or shine, Mississippi State’s baseball team will open preseason drills today.
The Bulldogs will practice at 3:30 p.m. on the newly resurfaced Dudy Noble Field, unless in rains, in which case they’ll move inside to the Palmeiro Center.
MSU, directed by second-year coach John Cohen, returns 17 lettermen from last year’s squad, which went 25-29 overall and 9-20 in SEC play to finish last in the Western Division for the second consecutive season.
State’s practices are open to the public, and it will scrimmage at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The season begins Feb. 19 against Rhode Island.
