Blue Mountain College to break ground on sports complex

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain College will break ground on its new sports complex at 1 p.m., Monday, December 3.

The property, approximately one-half mile north of the BMC campus, will be the site of a baseball field, softball field, golf practice range, intramural soccer field, sand volleyball court, and running track.

“This will be a big day for the BMC athletic programs,” said Dr. Barbara Childers McMillin, president. “Our programs have more than doubled in the past few years, and these facilities will ensure continued growth. With a new sports facility in progress and a new membership in the Southern States Athletic Conference effective Fall 2013, we are excited about what the future holds for our Blue Mountain College student-athletes.”

From Highway 15, turn into the main BMC entrance. Cross over the railroad tracks … turn right immediately at Stop sign. Drive one-half mile. The site will be on the right side of the road.
