Browning named new Myrtle coach

Rob Browning is the new boys and girls basketball coach at Myrtle. An Ingomar graduate, the 25-year-old Browning has served as Amory head boys and girls basketball coach the last two seasons, three years there total for his first head coaching job.
Browning replaces Cliff Orman, who took the Ripley girls job after Katie Bates went to Pine Grove.
Browning’s Amory squad faced Ingomar in last season’s Hotbed. Browning said he wanted to win, but that he’d always bleed Ingomar blue.
“I bleed black and red now,” Browning said, then laughed, “full fledged black and red.
