On Tuesday morning, Dan Mullen stopped by Bruce High School to visit 2015 athlete Jay Johnson. By the time he left, Johnson had pulled the trigger with a commitment for the Bulldogs.

Johnson is a name on the rise in recruiting circles in Mississippi and has consistently tabbed Mississippi State as his leader since he received an offer from the Bulldogs in October.

Standing at 6-4 and weighing in at just over 210 pounds, Johnson could wind up at a number of positions on the next level. Primarily a running back and receiver, he has also seen time at safety and linebacker.

Johnson chose the Bulldogs over interest from Missouri, Arkansas and Ole Miss.
