Mississippi State made headlines by adding eight commitments last Friday.
The Bulldogs added another name to the 2015 class on Thursday as Collins safety Mark McLaurin became the 26th commitment.
The three-star prospect chose MSU over offers from Alcorn State, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Memphis, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
McLaurin is considered the No. 41 safety in the nation by 247Sports.com and the 16th best prospect in Mississippi.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder totaled nearly 3,000 yards as a junior quarterback last season in leading Collins to a 9-4 record and into the second round of the Class 3A Playoffs.
MSU’s 2015 class is now ranked 10th nationally by 247Sports.com.
