What looked to be a blowout became a dog fight as Water Valley held on for the 36-33 win.

The Blue Devils led 28-0 two plays into the second quarter, amassing more than 230 yards of offense. Devin Wilson led the Bulldogs back, scoring four touchdowns over the final three quarters.

Braudrique Boyd scampered 90 yards for a touchdown reception for the Bulldogs.

“I’m proud of these guys. It would have been easy to fold up and quit but the Bulldogs put in effort on every play and every down. We had some breakdowns in the fourth quarter, but this is something we can build on. Great effort and attitude,” Bulldogs head coach Ron Price said.
