Bulldogs drop to 20th in both polls after loss

Mississippi State fell a few spots but remains ranked in both major men’s basketball polls this week.
The Bulldogs (13-3), who lost 98-88 to Arkansas on Saturday, were voted No. 20 in both the Associated Press and USA Today coaches polls, which were released Monday. It was a drop of five spots in the AP poll and four spots in the other.
It’s the eighth consecutive week State has been ranked.
Up next is a home game Thursday versus Tennessee (8 p.m., ESPN2), which is coming off a win over then-No. 13 Florida (now 19th).
