Bulldogs look to go to 5-0 against Northwestern St.

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will try to build on its fast start.
The Bulldogs (4-0), coming off a strong opening weekend, host Northwestern (La.) State today at Dudy Noble Field. First pitch is 4 p.m.
MSU coach John Cohen coached the Demons from 1998-2001.
State’s pitchers posted a 0.75 ERA over the weekend, and starting today will be sophomore Kendall Graveman (2-4, 6.66 ERA last season) opposite NSU sophomore Jacob Williford.
At the plate, MSU is led by third baseman Jarrod Parks, who’s 8 of 15 for a .533 average. MSU is hitting .366 as a team.
Northwestern State is 2-1, having won a weekend series against Brigham Young. Third baseman Nick Hinojos (.375) paces the Demons in hitting.
