A week before their annual spring games, both Ole Miss and Mississippi State will conduct open scrimmages at 10 a.m. today.
Ole Miss will start on the practice field, then move inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for a scrimmage of at least 100 plays. MSU’s scrimmage, the Bulldogs’ 11th workout of the spring, will be conducted inside Davis Wade Stadium.
On Friday, the Bulldogs showed coach Dan Mullen the type of intensity he hopes to see again today and hereafter.
“I liked our energy and tempo today,” Mullen said. “I liked it last Saturday, too. But tomorrow needs to be better. When we go to the stadium, the intensity, physicality, all of it needs to jump another level.”
Ole Miss worked Friday on its two-minute drill. “We’re putting them in situations and seeing who is going to react,” said Rebels coach Houston Nutt.
