Bulldogs stay on road, visit South Alabama today

By Brad Locke/NEMS Daily Journal

For the seventh time in its last eight games, Mississippi State will be on the road today with a trip to South Alabama. First pitch in Mobile is set for 6:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs (23-8) are coming off a tough weekend at Arkansas, where they dropped two of three. MSU is 2-4 in road games, and this will be its first true non-conference road contest.
South Alabama (22-7) was swept by Florida Atlantic over the weekend. The Jaguars were ranked 24th by Baseball America last week but fell out of the poll this week.
