STARKVILLE – Starkville attorney Jay Perry said simple domestic assault charges against Mississippi State linebacker Deontae Skinner have been retired.
Skinner, a third year sophomore from Macon, was booked and charged after an altercation with his girlfriend, Jasmine Foote, at Skinner’s residence on June 5.
Foote was also charged with simple domestic assault. The charges against her have also been retired.
Skinner (6-foot-2, 235 pounds) made seven tackles in 10 games last season and is expected to vie for playing time this fall.
