COLLEGE BASEBALL: No. 7 Ole Miss: 36-13 (16-8 SEC)

– Looking back: The Rebels went 4-1 for the week, splitting mid-week games against Southern Miss (6-4) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (22-2) before sweeping Auburn in SEC play 9-2, 8-2 and 11-4.
The Rebels’ last SEC road sweep had been at Georgia in 2006. It is the team’s second sweep this season. Ole Miss won three at home against Kentucky April 3-5.
Freshman DH Matt Snyder had a big week going 9-for-15 (.600) with five RBIs and four runs scored.
– Looking ahead: Mid-week games are complete as players get into final exams. The Rebels will practice this week and will resume SEC play Friday at home for the first of three games against Mississippi State.
– Rankings: The Rebels are No. 7 in the latest Baseball America Top 25.
– In the SEC: Florida, LSU and Ole Miss are tied for the overall lead at 16-8. Florida and LSU play in Baton Rouge this weekend. In the Western Division, Alabama and Arkansas are both 11/2 games back at 14-9.
– MVP: Senior outfielder Logan Power hit .478 with seven RBIs for the week. He was 5-for-6 at Auburn on Sunday and drove in five runs to become the school’s career RBI leader.
Power’s only at-bat Sunday that did not result in a hit was a fielder’s choice on which he still reached base.
