From Brad Locke …

MSU is hoping to boost its sack total this year, having recorded only 19 last season. A big part of that effort will be senior defensive end Denico Autry, who had 4.0 sacks last season. He’s also trying to become a more complete player, and we caught up with him today to talk about that. Autry is also battling a thumb injury but doesn’t seem too concerned about it.

We also spoke with junior tackle Curtis Virges, who said he’s trying to become a better player by focusing more on technique. He’s a fourth-year player, and coaches are demanding more out of the West Point product this season.

From Parrish Alford …

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze proclaimed the second major scrimmage of camp a success and talked about getting ready to turn the page to Vanderbilt.

The scrimmage was largely closed, though we were ushered in to see a few series at the end. It was apparent then that Laquon Treadwell was having a good day, and Freeze talks about him in video at link below.
