Bulldogs Back in Rankings at No. 25

Mississippi State is back in the national rankings, checking in at No. 25 in today’s new Baseball America poll (CLICK HERE). That’s the poll recognized by the Daily Journal.

The Bulldogs (29-18, 12-12 SEC) won two of three at Alabama over the weekend and have won eight of their last 10 games. They’ve won three consecutive SEC series and are currently tied for second with No. 20 Arkansas in the SEC Western Division race, four games behind No. 3 LSU.

Also in the rankings: No. 4 South Carolina; No. 6 Florida, which hosts MSU this weekend; and No. 7 Kentucky, which travels to MSU next week. Ole Miss, 24th last week, dropped out after losing two of three at home to LSU.

Texas was No. 25 last week and dropped out, as did Sam Houston State (21st last week).

MSU was last ranked on March 12, at No. 21. It then lost two games at Southeastern Louisiana and two of three at LSU.
