A bit of good news regarding freshman guard Rodney Hood: The injury he suffered to his left knee Tuesday is a deep bone bruise, and there are no torn ligaments or fractures. That was revealed today during an MRI on Hood’s knee.
That’s according to a team spokesman, who added, “Overall, the news on Rodney Hood is very good considering it’s a knee and the pain he was in.”
When Hood will return to action is not known. MSU plays at Alabama on Saturday.
Hood hurt the knee during a loose-ball scramble late in the first half of State’s 74-63 loss to No. 1 Kentucky. He had six points when he left, and after an evaluation Hood returned to the court on crutches to watch his teammates.
