Here’s what I’ve learned about the arrest of Mississippi State football signee Dennis Thames, according to information from the Neshoba County jail booking clerk and a city court clerk:
• He was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning (May 30) on Highway 19 South in Philadelphia and charged with public intoxication. The Neshoba Democrat’s county jail docket listed it as “public intoxication-other substance,” but the arrest report only lists it as “public intox.”
• Bond was set at $500, and Thames got out of jail the same day by posting $100 of the bond.
• His court date is June 15 at 3 p.m.
