MSU in Polls: No. 18 AP, No. 17 USA Today

Welp, Mississippi State – which has won 10 consecutive games – actually dropped one spot in each of the major polls this week. The Bulldogs (11-1) fell to No. 18 in the AP poll and No. 17 in the USA Today coaches poll.

MSU had wins last week over FAU (75-68) and Detroit (80-75), the latter on the road.

In the AP rankings, MSU swapped places with Indiana (10-0), which beat Notre Dame (7-5) at a neutral site on Saturday (Indianapolis). In the coaches poll, State flip-flopped with Georgetown (9-1), which defeated American (8-4) on Saturday, 81-55. (Indiana is 18th in the coaches poll, up two spots from last week.)

I eagerly await Gary Parrish‘s weekly Poll Attacks column to see if he takes issue with anyone’s MSU vote. Just seems odd.
