Mississippi State athletics director Scott Stricklin will host a monthly radio show starting July 24, the school announced today. The hour-long show will be titled “Hail State with Scott Stricklin” and will be held at various eating establishments around the state, starting with Harvey’s in Starkville.
Stricklin’s show will originate from Tupelo’s Park Heights on Aug. 28, and from Ely’s in Jackson on Sept. 25. Other dates and sites are to be determined.
The show will begin at 7 p.m., with a reception to precede it at 6:30. According to a news release, guests will include “newsmakers (from) around the nation” as well as MSU personnel. Listeners will be able to ask questions via Twitter (@hailstate and @StricklinMSU). Those wishing to attend the dinner and show are encouraged to make reservations by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (662) 327-6982.
Stricklin’s show is a Bulldog Sports Properties production, which means Stricklin’s show can be heard on several MSU affiliates.
“Scott is a forward thinking, dynamic athletic director who enjoys engaging with fans,” said Don Williams, general manager for Bulldog Sports Properties. “This will give Mississippi State fans throughout the Southeast a chance to hear his plans for the future as well as discuss with peers the topical issues of the day in college athletics.”
