On the Links: Wrapping Up Kentucky-MSU

Well, that was fun, wasn’t it?

I know, you’d have rather MSU beaten Kentucky last night, but it was still a heck of a game. The atmosphere was a big part of that, as the fans turned out in full force and brought plenty of energy.

By the way, I liked the grey uniforms MSU broke out for this game. I hope they return before the black ones do.

OK, let’s recap the Bulldogs’ 73-64 loss to the No. 1 team in land. First, from today’s Journal.

• Here’s the game story (CLICK HERE), and keep in mind it was filed within about 30 minutes of the game’s conclusion. Love those 8 p.m. tipoffs.

• Here’s the notebook (CLICK HERE), which talks about Darius Miller, Rodney Hood and Renardo Sidney.

There’s plenty more coverage from our friends in Lexington and elsewhere. So let’s check in on them.

• From the Louisville Courier-Journal, some postgame video of UK coach John Calipari and two of his players (CLICK HERE), with an accompanying game story.

• From the Lexington Herald Leader, John Clay with a strong column (CLICK HERE).

• Also from that paper, a story about the defensive play of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (CLICK HERE).

• Some national writers were on hand Tuesday. Thayer Evans of FoxSports.com is not impressed with Kentucky (CLICK HERE); Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com is very impressed (CLICK HERE).
