APR scorecards | Ole Miss Sports

All Ole Miss teams scored above the 925 minimum required by the NCAA in the multi-year report to avoid the possibility of penalties. Two teams, football (919) and men’s golf (914), scored below 925 for the 2010-2011 reporting period. Ten teams had perfect scores for the 2010-2011 reporting period. Ole Miss APR

“Essentially, only the multi-year threshold is used for penalties. With golf, there’s such a small sample size, if you lose a couple of people your points could go down quickly, and their multi-year (score) is strong. Football, a 933 (multi-year) is pretty strong for a football program,” AD for compliance Matt Ball said.

Football’s 933 multi-year score is the lowest of the Ole Miss sports and does not include the 2011-2012 year when academics have been a problem for a number of players.

In mid-May football coach Hugh Freeze told us he had three players who still faced eligibility risk at the close of the spring semester. One of those, Nick Brassell, has left the program.

Freeze is currently on vacation.

The Rebels’ football multi-year score ranks 11th in the SEC, two points ahead of Tennessee (931) and three points behind Arkansas (936).

Men’s basketball posted a 990 multi-year score and a perfect 1,000 for the single-year reporting period. Women’s golf and softball posted perfect 1,000 multi-year scores.

The men’s basketball score is the highest in the SEC.
