Friday morning update | Ole Miss Sports

Some non-football links of interest …

Fall baseball is just about complete as the Rebels choose sides and play for pizza this weekend. Mike Bianco feels better about his pitching now than he did when fall ball began. At least one program veteran appears to have upped his game. LINK

Basketball season opens tonight, sort of, with an exhibition against Auburn-Montgomery. They count for real a week from tonight when the Rebels take on Arkansas-Little Rock. The Rebels’ scrimmage against Tulane last week was good, not great. Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy is still working with personnel groupings. LINK

Tip at Tad Smith is 6 p.m., and admission is free. I’ll be on the blog with game updates. It will be the first game action for Chris Warren since he tore up a knee in Cincinnati last year. What a day that was.
