A projected 2013 lineup for Ole Miss baseball.

LF Tanner Mathis … Finished at .359, team’s second-leading hitter. Could bring different look to offense a the three hole in the order.

CF Auston Bousfield … Star potential.

RF Will Jamison … Fast, solid defender. Will be very good player if he makes a jump offensively.

3B Andrew Mistone … Outstanding defensively. Hit well in regional but finished at .243.

SS Austin Anderson … Solid fielder, hit better as season went along. Injury kept him out of postseason.

2B Chase Nyman … Incoming freshman, the Pascagola product hit .514 in playoffs, .750 in championship series.

1B Preston Overbey … Versatile and experienced with enough talent to hit better than .255.

C Will Allen … Improved depth at catcher could keep him fresh enough to hit better at end of season. Could move to first base.

DH Sikes Orvis … Good power. Big hits at end of season. Will be better with more at-bats throughout.

Friday starter Bobby Wahl … Could be SEC leader in ERA next season.

Saturday starter Mike Mayers … Really came on down the stretch.

Sunday starter Chris Ellis/Tanner Bailey/Sam Smith/Hawtin Buchanan/Josh Laxer/Aaron Greenwood … The job is there for the taking. All pitched at least 27 innings this season except Buchanan, who has the most potential. Smith has the most starting experienced but tailed off late. Greenwood and Bailey did some good things in relief and finished with sub-4 ERAs.

Closer Brett Huber … Will set career saves record early in the season.
