Here’s the deal with Scott Bittle, per Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco. The docs say that when Bittle starts throwing he should stop when he feels discomfort – not pain but discomfort. There is know work through the pain and gut it out like some pitchers do.
So all this soft toss Bittle has been doing has not been detrimental, but it has included discomfort, a tightness, an inability to get fully loosened.
“He can’t get on the mound and throw 90,” Bianco said.
Bianco says Bittle continues to improve, continues to strengthen. He hopes to have him for a super regional if the Rebels advance this weekend.
