Nutt: Nothing’s changed | Ole Miss Sports

In a series of short answers, some of them with just one word, Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt addressed rumors that he had been fired as a result of the Rebels’ 30-13 loss at Kentucky, their 12th-straight loss against an SEC opponent.

Asked if his status as head coach had changed since talking with media in his postgame session at Commonwealth Stadium, Nutt said, “No.”

He said he has not been in meetings discussing his future today, and that no such meetings are scheduled.

Nutt said he was unclear if having no meetings today meant his job situation is more settled or secure.

“I don’t know. I’m just thinking about one thing, Louisiana Tech,” he said.

Nutt said he had received text messages from players asking questions, and that he would address the rumors with them.

“I’ve gotten couple of texts, so I guess they’re hearing what you’re hearing. Nobody’s met, nobody’s called. We’ll put all those to rest here in about an hour.”
