Nothing like getting back home after five days away and being welcomed with a leaky kitchen sink.
There has been success with the sink. We’ll see if it holds.
Just waiting now for the selection show, which I suspect will be another NIT selection for Ole Miss. I haven’t seen much discussion for the Rebels this afternoon, and if the “bracketologists” are correct, Ole Miss will again narrowly miss the field, and the SEC, though having a stronger RPI ranking among conferences, will be a five-bid league.
On a side note, what to make of the baseball weekend?
Houston arrived in town as a 6-6 team that wasn’t scoring a lot of runs but had picked up wins against SEC teams Tennessee and No. 4 Arkansas. The Rebels completed a sweep with an 11-3 win earlier today, a Sunday victory following back-to-back shutouts on Friday (8-0) and Saturday (9-0). That’s 28-3 weekend for Ole Miss if you’re scoring at home.
The Rebels (13-2) have two games at No. 24 Louisville this week then return home this weekend to open SEC play with Auburn.
I was not at the baseball series, so I can’t speak to what I saw, but the numbers suggest a balanced and dominant weekend against Houston.
