There was more focus on the veterans, on the first and second teams Monday, but one freshman got a lot of attention: Craig Drummond.
The Chicago native who enrolled last January and went through spring drills was moved inside to tackle.
“He did well. He’s a big-bodied kid who moves around there well. That’s actually a more natural position for him,” DL coach Terry Price said.
It isn’t the position at which Drummond has played, however. He’s been on the end since arriving in January, and his move was necessitated because sophomore Justin Smith broke a foot last week. We’ll watch this as it develops.
