It’s court day for Andy Kennedy. Sources with knowledge of the situation say he will plead to fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct and not simple assault.
I’ll be out of pocket in the middle of the day but hope to have comments from Pete Boone and Kennedy’s attorney later on. Attorney Michael Allen has so for not commented on a possible plea deal.
College baseball rankings come out around mid-day. The Rebels took two at Florida over the weekend and have risen to No. 23 in simulated RPI rankings. They were No. 17 in the Baseball America Top 25 last week and went 3-1 on the week. All four games were against SEC foes, though Tuesday’s 8-1 win over Mississippi State did not count in the standings.
Ole Miss is at home against Arkansas-Little Rock Tuesday and at Southern Miss Wednesday before coming home for the weekend to face SEC-leading Georgia.
