CORINTH – Saturday’s grand reopening of the Corinth SportsPlex will showcase many renovations that have taken place at the facility which has been part of the Corinth exercise and recreation scene for decades.

The first Quad-County Bench Press Competition has already attracted about 25 competitors, with new registrations accepted on-site. Participants will compete in eight weight classes for prize money and trophies.

Visitors will be greeted beginning at 9 a.m. in an entirely redesigned reception area and have access to indoor basketball courts and other amenities. The weight room has been expanded with up-to-date equipment and 24-hour access.

Free hot dogs and Coca-Cola soft drinks will be served, and there will be a bounce house for children. Tickets are still available for a $5,000 cash giveaway.
