A field of 18 schools is expected to compete Saturday in the 41st annual Daily Journal Relays at Tupelo High School’s football stadium.
The field events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., while the running events – with the exception of the 3,200 meters, which start at 11:30 – are scheduled for an early afternoon start.
“We’re excited about the meet and the teams we have entered,” Tupelo coach Brian Jones said. “Hopefully, we’ll have a lot of people here to watch.”
The schools signed up for Saturday’s meet are: Amory, Booneville, Calhoun City, Columbus, Corinth, Holly Springs, IAHS, Kossuth, New Albany, New Hope, Okolona, Oxford, Pontotoc, Ripley, Saltillo, Shannon and Tupelo.
The state track and field meet is scheduled for May 13-14 at Pearl High School.
