JACKSON – The dates for the state’s 2009-2010 duck season were released by state wildlife officials on Tuesday. The season is divided into three segments: Nov. 27-29, Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 9-Jan. 31.
Federal guidelines allow a daily limit of six ducks, including no more than four mallards (only two of which may be females), three wood ducks, two redheads, two scaup, one canvasback, one mottled duck, one black duck and one pintail.
Shooting hours for all migratory game birds are from one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Other late migratory seasons announced on Tuesday: Canada and Brant geese, Nov. 23-Jan. 31 and White-fronted Geese, snow, blue and Ross’ geese. Nov. 21-Jan. 31.
