DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) – The Chicago Bulls have signed forward Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract.
The team announced the move on Tuesday.
A second-round draft pick by Miami in 2010 out of Mississippi State, Varnado played overseas for two seasons. He was averaging 14.1 and 11 rebounds in 22 starts for the Iowa Energy of the NBA D-League this season after playing for the Heat, Boston Celtics and D-League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce last year.
Varnado left MSU as the all-time NCAA leader in blocked shots.
Chicago’s roster is at 13 players.
