FireAnts hit road to face winless Crude

Two National Indoor Football League teams hungry for a victory play at 7:30 p.m. today in Enid, Okla., when the Tupelo FireAnts take on the winless Oklahoma Crude.

Tupelo, 1-6 overall, 1-5 in the Atlantic South Division, hasn't won since beating Beaumont April 26 at home. Oklahoma is 0-7 and 0-4 in the division.

The FireAnts lost 49-43 last weekend to Houma, but scored 37 second-half points in the loss. Running back Allen Copeland scored three touchdowns while new quarterback Anthony Dunn passed for two scores.

Oklahoma is led by quarterback John Howdeshell, who has passed for 11 touchdowns this season.
