OXFORD – Former Ole Miss offensive lineman Matt Hall was arrested early Saturday morning on multiple charges, according to Oxford police.
Officers were responding to a domestic violence call, and Hall was eventually charged with domestic violence simple assault, a second simple assault, malicious mischief, stalking, DUI, careless driving and failure to yield to blue lights.
Hall, a Russellville, Ark., native and a transfer from the University of Arkansas, was a 12-game starter at guard last year.
He was held out of spring practice for what Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze described as a personal issue. Near the end of spring drills Freeze said Hall was working toward a possible summer graduation and is no longer with the team.
The Rebels completed spring drills on Saturday.
